How to treat a hickey emergency.

by Boo-Boo Cover-Up on May 2, 2012

How many times have you caught your friend (or yourself) trying to make crazy excuses for that flagrant hickey on their neck? “I burned myself with my curling iron.” “It’s a pimple gone wrong.” Riiiight.

Well, put the lies and excuses aside, Boo-Boo Cover-Up is here to the rescue! Our fabulous coverage will make sure you  show up to work the next day fresh and clean.

My wedding’s coming up and I’m thinking about all sorts of things that have never occurred to me before, like: should I cover up my foot tattoo on my wedding day? Honestly, I’ve decided I love my tattoo and it’s pretty enough to prance around in the short reception dress I’ll be wearing after dark. But I still decided to try out our technique for covering up tattoos with Boo-Boo Cover-Up.

Now, let’s be clear that we love our tatted up brides, especially ones who proudly and beautifully wear their tattoos as body art. But it’s no secret some people absolutely regret getting inked.

So for those of you pondering whether it’s a good idea to wear your ex-boyfriend’s name on your arm as you wed your new husband: it’s not.

Covering up your tattoo with Boo-Boo Cover-Up concealer is a cinch. The technique is not unlike applying healing concealer to a regular boo boo or blemish. The main difference will be that you’ll need to add quite a few more layers.

Check out this before and after magic on a one-year-old black tattoo. Notice the “J” is completely gone after a few layers of Boo-Boo Cover-Up.

Holy smokes. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Apply one foundational layer of Boo-Boo Cover-Up the same way you would apply lotion all over your skin. This layer will act as the binder for the top layers. Give it a few seconds to dry.
  2. Spot-treat - Re-apply a tiny bit of concealer on your tattoo and tap it around the area.Give it a few seconds to dry.
  3. Repeat multiple layers of spot-treatment, making sure to tap the concealer into your skin (rather than spreading it around) until your tat seems like a thing of the past!

There ya have it. It’s like magic and it sure beats spending thousands of dollars on laser removal!
